Importing Deep-frozen Goods

An Asian firm wanted to establish itself in Europe with deep-frozen and canned products.

Approach
As our first step, we compared the Asian manufacturer's products and operations with those of the competition in order to determine which of our client's products could possibly stand a chance of meeting with success in Europe and what sales arguments would have to be employed. Once this had been identified, we totally redesigned the brand and packaging concept for the European market. ifm Food Marketing contacted importers and business partners, negotiated prices for the manufacturer and organised the export of the goods.

Result
Within three years, the Asian manufacturer, assisted by ifm Food Marketing, was able to build a business in Europe that now accounts for a substantial share of its total global sales.
